Weight Loss and Chest Pain with L-Carnitine

L-carnitine supplement is responsible for transporting fat to the mitochondria, where it can be oxidized, or burned. This amazing protein facilitates the breakdown of fat into energy, improving weight loss results when combined with exercise and a healthy diet.

According to recent studies, L-carnitine has been proven to “increase the amount of fat you burn during both anaerobic and aerobic workouts.” Just this past year, researchers published a paper in the Journal of Biological Chemistry regarding L-carnitine’s “switch” that determines an individual’s rate of metabolism.

Along with increasing the body’s ability to metabolize, or burn, fat, L-carnitine has also been shown to decrease the affects of angina, or chest pain, thus increasing the amount of time that patients can exercise.

Studies conducted and published from 1984 through 2000 on exercise tolerance in patients with angina show a ‘self-reported resolution of angina episodes.’ In a separate study, 200 patients received L-carnitine for 6  months to determine it’s affect on exercise with angina. “In the patients receiving L-carnitine, ergometric exercise performance improved and consumption of cardioactive medications decreased.”

In a more recent study of 47 patients with chronic angina, after 3 months of maintaining a L-carnitine regiment, patients were able to exercise longer with less chest pain.

By decreasing the affects of angina and increasing the duration of exercise for patients, L-carnitine gives angina sufferes the ability to get back in shape. And with the added ability that L-carnitine benefits in weight loss, angina patients can not only get back into shape, they have a greater chance of seeing weight loss results, and thus a greater chance of maintaining a heart healthy exercise routine and regiment. This health cycle will only continue to repeat with the help of L-carnitine supplements.

L-Carnitine and the Fat Switch

We’ve been spending a lot of time focusing on New Year’s Resolutions and the popular theme of weight loss. Getting the right weight loss supplements can truly make a huge difference in whether you stick to those resolutions or fall of the wagon, as they say. Some very interesting news out of the scientific community today is shedding some light on why L-carnitine supplements are so important for weight loss.

L-Carnitine and the “Fat Switch”
According to research recently published in the Journal of Biological Chemisty as the ‘Paper of the Week,’ carnitine ‘has a switch’ that determines whether ‘individuals suffer from fatty liver in one extreme or ketosis in the other.’

L-Carnitine is the key protein that regulates fatty acid oxidation in the liver and is critical for metabolism. Its activity determines whether individuals suffer from fatty liver in one extreme or ketosis in the other.

Professor Zammit explained: “Knowing that the CPT1 enzyme can switch and what controls it will ultimately lead to a better understanding of why some people appear to have a speedy metabolism and others struggle to curb their appetite.

2012 Weight Loss Supplements

The number one New Year's Resolution year after year is weight loss, and yet year after year we all fail to follow through. Why? Because when we don't see the results that we expect, we give up. Below is a list of the top 3 weight loss supplements that we provide in Cardio Juvenate Plus that will not only improve your weight loss results, they will improve your overall heart health.

L-carnitine facilitates the breakdown of fat into energy. Plain and simple, l-carnitine supplements burn fat and improve weight loss results. The primary function of L-carnitine within the body is to regulate fat burning by assisting mitochondria in transferring that fat into energy. It assists in the transport of fatty acids to the ‘fat furnace’ in our cells called mitochondria.

L-arginine is an amino acid that has many purposes within the body. It improves healthy blood circulation, lowers blood pressure, improves heart health, and can facilitate weight loss. Researchers have found that L-arginine has the ability to boost fat loss by acquiring energy from a healthy diet and using that energy to promote muscle growth rather than fat.

Vitamin D

In terms of weight loss, vitamin D “will lead to better weight loss,” according to Dr. Sibley, professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota. Her recent research went to show how effective vitamin D is at promoting healthy weight loss, especially in the abdominal areas, the toughest areas for many individuals to get rid of that access fat.
